Meeting Sunday’s at 9 AM | 4325 Cordelia Rd. Fairfield, CA 94534 | (707) 864-5683 (LOVE)

Our mission Is To LOVE GOD, LOVE PEOPLE, and CHANGE THE WORLD. At Hope, we are ordinary people who have been loved by an extraordinary God. We’ve come together to grow knowing God’s identity and to live out our divine destiny as ambassadors of his good news.

We summarize our beliefs with the acronym: C.H.R.I.S.T.I.A.N.

CHRIST IS GOD INCARNATE

The Leader of our life is Jesus, our Lord, Savior, and the coming King. We believe in the three powers of ONE GOD-The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The three are like water: it can be a solid-ice, a liquid-water, and a gas-vapor or steam (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Ephesians 4:4-6).

We believe in Jesus’ virgin birth, His sinless life, and His atoning death through His shed blood (Matthew 1:18, 25; 1 Corinthians 15:1-8; Hebrews 4:15).

We believe in His bodily resurrection. In His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Matthew 1:18, 25; 1 Corinthians 15:1-8; Hebrews 4:15; Acts 1:9-11; Acts 2:22-24).

We believe in the return of Jesus Christ, and Jesus will raise the dead to life, and we shall be with the Lord forever (Mark 13:33; John 14:1-3; 1Thessalonians 4:16-17; Hebrews 9:27-28).

HUMANITY

God creates humans in His own image. However, rather than following God’s path, our human sin separates us from the love and eternal blessing God wants to give all of his children (Romans 3:23; Romans 5:8-12; Romans 6:23; Romans 10:9-13; Colossians 1:15-23).

RECONNECTION

God’s greatest desire is to love and be adored by ALL of His children. His love, eternal bond, and salvation are only found in Jesus Christ, a free gift of God’s grace. We believe that salvation is a gift of God, provided through the sacrificial death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, attained by grace through faith (John 3:16; John 14:6; Roman 10:9 Ephesians 2:6-9).

INSPIRATION OF SCRIPTURE

We believe that the Bible is God’s Living Word, inspired by God, completely accurate. The Bible is our authority regarding Christian beliefs and the guide for following God’s path. The Bible proclaims timeless principles for every aspect of life. (John 1:1; Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12).

SPIRITUAL POWER

We rely on the Holy Spirit and believe in spiritual gifts that empower our lives to live out the love of Jesus to help him restore a broken world (Zechariah 4:6; John 14:26; Romans 8:5-27; I Corinthians 12).

TRANSFORMING WORSHIP

Worship is the ultimate celebration of God’s love. Putting God first, both privately and publicly, is an essential and transforming ingredient in every Christian’s life (Psalm 95:1-6; Luke 4:8; John 4:23-24; Colossians 3:14-17; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Romans 12:1-2; Philippians 1:6; Hebrews 13:15).

IMMERSION AND COMMUNION

Since we seek to follow the Bible, we begin our journey following Christ with baptism by immersion underwater and we celebrate the Lord’s Supper every Sunday (Mathew 3:13-17; 29:18; Acts 8:36-38; 1 Corinthians 12:13; 1Peter 3:21; Luke 22:7-38; Mathew 26:26-28; 1 Corinthians 11:26; Colossians 2:12).

AUTHORITY OF THE LOCAL CHURCH

In the Bible, every family of believers was unique and self-governing under the leadership of their elders guided by the Holy Spirit founded in scripture and the teachings of Jesus. Non-denominational independent Christian churches allow both leaders and members to serve God by serving others.

Hope Christian Church is an independent non-denominational church and a 501(c) 3 non-profit corporation. We also enjoy the blessings of many associations and allegiances, working together in various kingdom ministries such as local homeless, world missions, and church planting. We trace our biblical heritage to a national revival movement that began during the Second Great Awakening of 1790-1840 and continues to plant new churches today (Acts 6:1-6; Acts 14:23; Titus 1:5-9; 1 Peter 5:1-4; I Timothy 3:1-13).

NEW LIFE

Only by letting Jesus lead our lives, following God’s path, and our God-given power of the Holy Spirit are we able to grow, letting God’s love flow to others, and give our lives true fulfillment and purpose (Romans 6:4; 12:1-2; Colossians 1:3-14; Revelation 21:5).
